Aluminum Outdoor Wall Lantern

A compact wall lantern in dark bronze, with a ribbed glass shade that breaks the light into soft vertical lines instead of throwing a flat glare. Small enough for a front door or a side entry, warm enough to make the approach to the house feel considered rather than lit.

The ribbing does the work here. With a warm filament bulb behind it, the glass gives off a gentle, textured glow, and in daylight the bronze frame and the fluting read as detail rather than hardware. It suits a porch, a covered entry, a garden room or a balcony wall.

Where to put it

This fitting is rated moisture resistant rather than fully waterproof, so it belongs somewhere with cover overhead: a porch, a recessed doorway, a covered walkway or a balcony. It is not made for a wall with no shelter above it.

Bulbs

Takes a standard E27 screw bulb, which threads into most E26 fittings sold in the US. A warm white filament bulb, around 2200K to 2700K, gives the glow shown in the photographs. Bright white bulbs will flatten the effect.
