Choosing
The medallion designs are the traditional ones: Onyx, Navy, Ruby, Teal, Cream, Gilt, Magenta and Sapphire, each a Persian style centre on a bordered ground. Marble Arc, Blush Marble and Pebble Stone are the stone effects. Mustard Geometric and Prism Blue are flat angular colour. Sketch Feather, Ink Bloom and Shoal are the quiet illustrated ones.
Three designs have wording printed on them, which the photographs show in full: Sweet Home Marble, Garden Pots and Cat Parade. If you want a mat with nothing written on it, pick from any of the other seventeen.
Choosing a size
40 x 60cm is a single doorway. 50 x 80cm covers a wider entrance. 90 x 60cm is the one for a hallway where people come in two abreast.
Care
Shake it out and vacuum on a low setting. Cool machine wash and dry flat, never tumble dried, which hardens the backing and stops it gripping.
