Choosing
A single mill is enough if you only grind pepper. The pair is the better buy if salt and pepper both get ground at the table, since swapping one mill between the two leaves salt in the pepper and pepper in the salt.
Care
Wipe the outside with a dry cloth and never rinse it under a tap. Charge it fully before the first use and store it upright so loose grounds fall back into the chamber rather than into the mechanism.
