Framed Outdoor Wall Lantern

A tall aluminum frame with a frosted glass column set inside it, so the light comes through as a soft vertical band rather than a bare bulb. It is the heaviest fitting we stock and it reads that way on a wall: architectural rather than decorative.

Where to put it

Beside a front door, along a covered walkway, or in a porch. It is rated water repellent rather than fully sealed, so give it some cover rather than a wall that takes driving rain head on.

Bulbs and installation

Takes a standard E27 screw bulb, which threads into most E26 fittings sold in the US. A warm white bulb around 2700K suits the frosted glass. The fitting wires into mains with no plug, so it needs a circuit at the mounting point and, unless you are confident with wiring, an electrician.
