Round Braided Placemats

Round placemats coiled from soft cotton cord, so the surface has a rope texture rather than a printed one. Natural undyed colour, which sits well with plain white china and with wood.

Sold as a set of four. They lie flat, they roll up to store, and they go in the washing machine when something inevitably lands on one.

Where to put it

A dining table, a kitchen island, or a garden table on a dry day. Round mats suit a round table particularly well, and they soften a rectangular one that would otherwise read as all straight lines.

Care

Shake off crumbs and wipe spills as they happen. For a full wash, use a cool cycle in a laundry bag and dry flat rather than tumbling, which shrinks the coil and buckles the mat.
