Solar Crackle Glass Jar Lights

A crackle glass jar with a wire of tiny lights coiled inside, hung from a short rope handle. The cracked texture in the glass catches the light and breaks it up, so it reads as a cluster of sparks rather than a single bulb.

Colors run from warm white through single colors to multicolor sets, at 20 or 30 lights per jar. Hung in a group of three at different heights they do more work than any one larger lantern.

Where to put it

Hung from a branch, a pergola, a fence hook or a shepherd's hook, or simply stood on an outdoor table or a step. Nothing to plug in and nothing to assemble.

Charging

The panel is set in the lid, so the jar needs open sky above it during the day. Under a dense tree it will charge slowly and run out early in the evening.
