Solar Globe Pillar Light

A frosted acrylic globe on a stainless steel base, made to sit on top of a gate pillar, a garden wall or a driveway post. The panel is built into the base, so there is nothing to wire and nothing to switch: it charges through the day and lights itself at dusk.

Warm white is the softer, older-looking choice against brick or stone. Cool white reads sharper and more modern.

Where to put it

Pillar caps either side of a drive, the top of a garden wall, or a flat post by a gate. The panel is in the base and faces up, so it needs open sky above it rather than a spot under a tree or an overhang.

A note on the globe

The shade is a moulded sphere. If it arrives with a dent from transit, hot water poured over the dip usually pushes it back out, which is normal for this kind of acrylic rather than a fault.
