Slim Solar Up Down Wall Light

A flat solar box that screws to a fence post, a wall or a gate pier and throws light both up and down it. No wiring, no outlet, nothing to switch: the panel on the front charges through the day and the light comes on by itself at dusk.

More LEDs means a brighter, longer throw up the wall. Warm white is the softer choice on timber; cool white is crisper on render and stone.

Where to put it

Fence posts, a garden wall, a shed, a gate pier or the side of a step. The panel is on the front of the unit, so it wants a wall that gets direct sun during the day rather than one in permanent shade.

Charging

Give it a full day in the sun before the first evening you use it. Runtime drops in winter and after overcast days, which is normal for anything solar rather than a fault.
