Solar Step and Fence Lights

Small flat lights that screw to a fence board, a deck riser or a step, and pick out the edge rather than lighting the space. Used in a run, they turn a dark set of steps into something you can see without resorting to a floodlight.

The LED count changes the spread: one LED gives a single soft pool, two and three widen it. Warm white is the softer, more domestic tone. White is brighter and more functional.

Where to put it

Deck risers, fence posts, step edges, a garden wall, the side of a shed. Space them evenly and keep them low, since the point is to show the edge rather than to light your face.

Charging

Around 6 hours of direct sunlight gives a full charge. Each unit charges through its own small panel, so one placed in permanent shade will stay dim no matter how sunny the rest of the garden is.
