Woven Rattan Solar Lantern

A hanging lantern in handwoven rattan, lit from inside so the weave throws a pattern across whatever sits behind it. This is the piece that makes a corner of a garden feel like a room, rather than an outdoor space with lights in it.

Where to put it

Hung from a pergola, a tree branch, a shepherd's hook in a border, or a bracket beside a door. The rattan is rated for outdoor use, but it will last considerably longer somewhere with cover overhead, so a porch or a pergola beats an exposed branch.

Charging

The panel sits in the lid, so it needs open sky above it rather than a dense canopy. Hang it where it catches a few hours of direct sun and it will run through the evening.
