Description

A turned wooden candlestick with a heavier, more traditional profile than a plain stick: a wide foot, a shaped stem and a deep cup. On a table it reads as something inherited rather than bought, and a lit taper above it throws the kind of low warm light a room wants in the evening. It is among the most classical shapes in the Lumen & Loam accent range, and the easiest to place.

The wood is turned and left natural, so grain and tone vary a little from one piece to the next. The cup takes a standard taper candle, and the wide foot gives it a low center of gravity, which matters on a table that gets knocked. Each candlestick is sold singly rather than as a pair, so you can build a group at the heights you actually want rather than the ones a set decides for you.

Use it on a dining table, a mantel or a hallway console, and keep the flame clear of any shelf above it. Trim the wick to about 5mm so the candle burns down evenly rather than dripping over the cup.
