Description

Not every fast-drying mat has to feel like stone. This soft diatomite bath mat from Lumen & Loam combines the rapid absorption of diatomaceous earth with a flexible, cushioned feel, so it is kind to bare feet and easy to roll up when you need the floor clear. In grey or blue, it has a clean, low-key look that suits a modern bathroom.

The surface is infused with diatomaceous earth, a porous mineral that soaks up water in seconds and lets it evaporate quickly, leaving the mat dry to the touch shortly after you step off. A non-slip base holds it in place on tile, vinyl or wood. Because it is soft rather than rigid, it can also be laid in a laundry room, beside a kitchen sink, in a bedroom by a dresser or on the floor of an RV where space and weight both count.

It comes in 40 x 60 cm for a shower step and 50 x 80 cm for a bathtub or double vanity. Rinse with water, wipe gently and air dry; machine wash on a gentle cycle if it needs a deeper clean, and do not use bleach. Lay it flat on a level floor and let it do the drying so your towels can stay on the rail.

Fast drying, soft feel

Diatomaceous earth soaks up water almost instantly and lets it evaporate. Unlike a rigid stone mat, this one bends and cushions bare feet.

Beyond the bathroom

Because it is light and flexible, it works in a laundry room, beside a kitchen sink or on the floor of an RV. Roll it up whenever you need the floor clear.

Towels stay on the rail

Step off and the mat is dry to the touch moments later. Lumen & Loam offers it in grey or blue in two sizes for showers, tubs and vanities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a hard diatomite mat?

This mat is infused with diatomaceous earth but stays soft and flexible, so it is gentle underfoot and easy to roll up. You get the same fast absorption in a more forgiving form.

What sizes and colors are there?

Choose 40 x 60 cm for a shower step or 50 x 80 cm for a bathtub or double vanity. It comes in grey or blue.

Will it stay in place?

Yes, the non-slip base holds firmly on tile, vinyl and wood floors. Lay it flat on a level surface for the best grip.

Where else can I use it?
