The Solar Crackle Glass Jar Lantern is a small jar with a wire of tiny lights coiled inside, hung from a short rope handle. The cracked texture in the glass catches each point of light and scatters it, so the jar reads as a cluster of sparks rather than a single bulb. Hung in a group of three at different heights, it does more for a Lumen & Loam garden evening than any one larger lantern.
Each jar is solar powered, with a 600mAh battery that fills up after about five hours of direct sun and then runs for eight to ten hours of light. There is nothing to plug in and nothing to assemble; the jar simply charges through the day and glows through the evening. The glass jar is rated IP65, so rain and spray are no trouble.
Choose 20 or 30 lights per jar in warm white, white, single colors such as blue, red, pink, purple and green, color changing, or a four-color multicolor mix. The jar measures approximately 120mm across and 140mm tall, with a 150mm rope handle. Hang it from a branch, pergola, fence hook or shepherd's hook, or stand it on an outdoor table or a step. Wipe with a dry cloth and let the sun do the rest.
