Solar Mini Bulb String Lights

Solar Mini Bulb String Lights are a run of small bulbs on a slim cable, charged by a panel you stake into a border or clip to a fence. The bulbs are spaced so the light reads as a line rather than a glare, which is what makes a garden feel finished rather than floodlit. They are the Lumen & Loam answer to a dark hedge or a bare pergola.

There is no plug and no timer to set. The panel takes the sun through the day and the lights come on by themselves once it gets dark, running on 4.5V solar with no wiring and no outlet needed. A full day of charge gives around eight to ten hours of light. The ABS body is rated IP65 for rain and spray, and an on, off and mode switch sits on the panel.

Choose a 3.5m string with 10 bulbs or a 5m string with 20, in warm white or cold white. Warm white gives the softer, candle-toned look; cold white is crisper and reads more modern. Run them along a fence, through a hedge, around a pergola or above a table. The one thing that matters is the panel: place it where it gets several hours of direct sun rather than shade.
