Description

Solar Pagoda Path Lights are small pagoda-topped stake lights that push into soft ground along a path or a border. They are marker lights rather than floodlights: set in a run, they show you where the path goes without lighting the whole garden. At Lumen & Loam we think of them as the quiet punctuation that makes a garden readable after dark.

Each light has an ABS body with a spike for soft ground, rated IP65 for rain and spray. A rechargeable 600mAh AA battery is included; it charges in six to eight hours of sun and runs for eight to twelve hours. There is no wiring and no switch: a light sensor turns the lights on as it goes dark and off again at dawn.

Choose warm white or cool white, sold as a set of two. Place them along a path, down a border, either side of a step or around a bed. The spike suits soil and bark; it will not go into gravel over hard core or into a lawn that has dried solid in summer. Give them a full day of direct sun before the first evening. Runtime drops in winter and after a run of overcast days, so expect a little less light then.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do they turn on and off?

Automatically. A built in light sensor switches them on at dusk and off at dawn, so there is no switch, no timer and nothing to remember.

Do I need to buy batteries?

No. Each light comes with a rechargeable 600mAh AA battery already fitted. It charges from the panel on top during the day.

What ground will the spike go into?

Soil, bark and border earth are ideal. Give the ground a little water first in a dry summer and the spike slides in easily.

How long do they stay lit?

Eight to twelve hours after a full day of sun. Expect a little less in winter or after several overcast days, which is normal for any solar light.

Are they weatherproof?

Yes. The ABS body is rated IP65 for rain and spray, so they stay out all year in warm white or cool white, sold as a set of two. See our Lighting Guide for color temperature, brightness and placement advice.
