Square Diatomite Quick-Dry Bath Mat

The Square Diatomite Quick-Dry Bath Mat takes the fast-drying qualities of diatomaceous earth and softens them into a thick, cushioned mat. Its clean square-edged shape and low-key finish suit modern, spa-like bathrooms. It is one of the most practical pieces in the Lumen & Loam bath edit, and one that guests tend to ask about.

Diatomaceous earth material pulls water off wet feet and lets it evaporate quickly, so the surface returns to dry within minutes and the floor stays clear of puddles. A rubber backing grips tile and stone so the mat does not shift when you step out of the shower, and the thick construction gives a comfortable, stable footing. It is equally useful at an entryway or hallway where wet shoes come in.

Two mat designs are offered in 40 x 60 cm and 50 x 80 cm sizes. Keep the mat clean by shaking off dust and wiping with a damp cloth; allow it to air dry fully and avoid soaking or machine washing. Place it beside the tub, at the shower exit or by the bathroom door. If the surface ever feels less absorbent, a light sanding restores it. A quick-drying surface that keeps your bathroom floor tidy and safe underfoot.
