Transparent Glass Wood Wall Clock

A clock that lets the wall show through feels lighter than any solid dial ever could. This 12 inch wall clock from Lumen & Loam sets simple wooden hands and markers against a clear glass face, so the color of your paint or wallpaper becomes the backdrop and the clock seems to float. It is a quietly modern piece that suits Scandinavian living rooms, home offices and hallways.

The shell and the hands are made from wood in a choice of a deep, darker stain or a light natural tone, framing a glass mirror-finish face that keeps everything legible without clutter. Inside is a Korean MJK sweep-seconds movement, which moves the second hand continuously rather than ticking, so it stays silent in a bedroom or a study where you want to concentrate. It runs on one AA carbon battery, not included; using a carbon rather than alkaline battery is recommended to protect the movement.

At 12 inches across, it is sized for a living room wall, above a desk or in a kitchen dining nook. Hang it from a single sturdy nail or hook, wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth and change the battery about once a year. It arrives as a clean, gift-ready piece for a new home or office.
