Description

A two tier rack that stacks bowls above and plates below, so a full sink of washing up drains in the footprint of a single rack. On a crowded worktop that is the difference between a tidy kitchen and a pile of wet china. In Ink or Sandstone it is one of the more discreet draining racks Lumen & Loam sells, plain enough to leave out permanently rather than hide away.

Two tiers do the sorting: bowls on top, plates below. There is a slot at the side for chopsticks and utensils, and a removable tray underneath to catch the drips. It goes together without tools. Angle the tray so water runs back toward the bowl, and the rack works as a permanent home for everyday china rather than only as somewhere things drain for an hour.

Two finishes, Ink and Sandstone. Stand it beside the sink, or keep it inside a cabinet as dry storage once the washing up is done. Lift the tray out and empty it rather than letting it sit full, which is where the smell in most dish racks comes from. Wipe the frame with warm soapy water and let it dry before reloading. Sold as a single rack, ready to use.

A full sink, one rack

Two tiers do the sorting for you, with bowls on top and plates standing below. A whole load of washing up drains in the space of a single rack.

Drips caught, not spread

A removable tray sits beneath the rack and catches every drip. Angle it toward the sink and the water runs back where it belongs instead of pooling on the worktop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fits on each tier?

The top tier is made for bowls and cups, and the lower tier stands plates on edge so they drain quickly. A side holder takes chopsticks, cutlery and utensils, so a full wash up has a place for everything.

Does it need assembly?

The rack goes together in a few minutes without any tools. Slot the tiers together, fit the utensil holder, slide the drip tray underneath and it is ready to use.

Which finishes can I choose?

It comes in Ink, a deep near black, and Sandstone, a warm pale neutral. Both are plain enough to sit out on the worktop every day without drawing attention.

How do I stop it getting smelly?

Lift the drip tray out and empty it regularly rather than letting water sit in it. Wipe the frame with warm soapy water now and then and let it dry before reloading, and it stays fresh.

Can I use it inside a cabinet?

Yes, once the washing up is dry it works well as storage inside a cabinet, keeping bowls and plates sorted and easy to reach. Many people keep one by the sink and use it both ways.
