Weathered Plank Floor Mat

A soft mat printed with weathered barn boards, grain, knots and all. From a step away it reads as reclaimed timber laid across the floor; underfoot it is a cushioned mat, which is the point of putting one where you stand and wash up. It gives a plain kitchen or hallway the warmth of old wood without any of the work, and it is one of the easier character pieces Lumen & Loam sells.

The printed polyester surface sits over a memory foam core, so it holds its cushion under a single standing spot rather than flattening out in the first week. The backing is non slip on a hard floor, and the whole mat machine washes on a cool cycle. Keep it under cover: this is a printed indoor mat, and sustained rain and sun will lift the color out of it.

Three sizes: 40 x 60cm, 50 x 80cm, and a 40 x 120cm runner that suits a galley kitchen or the length of a hall. The two smaller rectangles are for a single standing spot, in front of a sink or just inside a door. Shake it out and vacuum on a low setting, wash cool and dry flat, and do not tumble dry, which is what separates the foam from the face.
