Welcome Script Doormat

The Welcome Script Doormat is a dark charcoal mat with the word Welcome across it in a loose white script and a thin border framing it. Nothing else on it, which is why it works next to almost any door color, from a glossy black front door to a pale timber one. It is the plainest, most versatile greeting in the Lumen & Loam doormat range.

The surface is a soft flannel-finish polyester with a non slip backing that holds it steady on tile, timber or stone. The profile is low, so a door clears it without catching. It is machine or hand washable, with hand washing preferred to keep the script crisp. This is a printed flannel mat rather than a coir scraper, so it belongs somewhere it stays dry; full weather will flatten the pile and fade the script.

Choose 30 x 50cm (12 x 20in), 40 x 60cm (16 x 24in) or 50 x 80cm (20 x 31in). Place it just inside a front door, or outside one that is properly sheltered by a porch. Shake it out and vacuum lightly; hand wash in cool water and dry flat, away from direct heat. If it arrives creased from folding, lay it flat under something heavy for a day rather than reaching for an iron.
