Woven Boho Placemat Set

A set of six place settings. Five of the six pair a fringed cotton mat with a woven jute round laid over it, so each setting has two textures rather than one, and the jute round doubles as a trivet for a hot dish. The sixth option is the jute rounds on their own, for a table that already has mats.

Choosing

Red Scallop Stripe and Green Scallop Stripe are the loudest of the five. Jute Band and Taupe Weave sit quieter, and Plain Cream disappears under the china almost entirely. Jute Rounds Only is exactly that: six woven rounds and no cotton mats.

Where to put it

A dining table set for six, a long kitchen table, or a sideboard where the jute rounds work on their own as coasters for serving dishes.

Care

Spot clean rather than machine washing, since the fringe tangles and the jute goes stiff when it is soaked. Shake out crumbs and let anything damp dry flat and away from direct heat.
